When it comes to craftsmanship, we use our own professional carpenters and glaziers to make your new replacement windows, doors, glass, or screens. We do not use sub contractors or third party installers. Tashmans is a family owned operation since 1961 with a brick and mortar store on Santa Monica blvd in the heart of West Hollywood CA. It’s not every day you need to replace your front door. . . so I took to the internet to start my research. I spoke to suppliers, installers, contractors, locksmiths, and handymen - all in an attempt to understand what I needed to do. When I finally found Tashman - I was excited that they were a local family-owned business, which was important to me - given the impacts of COVID. They knew I was price shopping - yet still took time to patiently explained EVERYTHING to me. . . and I asked a ton of questions. I was impressed by their depth of knowledge, commitment to quality and complete turn-key service they offered. They have a team of loyal in-house contractors (not sub-contractors) which gives them a huge edge in quality control. On the day of my door installation, Kenny Tashman himself showed up - just because he was in the neighborhood. WOW - who does that anymore! I was seriously impressed - as it demonstrated his commitment to customer service. I know I could have saved a few hundred dollars by using separate vendors – but not having the hassle of working with separate vendors is priceless. And it meant more to me to have a beautiful door from a local knowledgeable company that cares. Not that I am looking to rebuild my Holmby Hills home . . .but when the time/need comes for other projects – I am starting with Tashman. #community
